STMCS – Stationary Tyre Mold Cleaning System

Offline mold cleaning in a 100% automated process

The STMCS is a worldwide proven standard for offline cleaning of tyre molds. The system cleans molds in a fully automated process. Cleaning is carried out inside the container, so dismantling of the mold is not needed. The cleaning can be done at any temperature. Mold reheating is not required prior to starting the cleaning process.

The systems including their laser sources only require little maintenance and low operating costs.

The unique beam delivery system of the 6-axis process head allows to clean even unusually complex tread patterns – in particular designed for winter tyres – with perfect results.

The stationary system can be used for PCR as well as for TBR and other large diameter tyres. For a summer tyre PCR mold cleaning takes 30 minutes. The exact processing time is dependent on the mold geometry, the degree of contamination, the quantity of curing cycles as well as on the mixtures and release agents that are used.

The machine is a Laser System Class 1

TMCS – Mobile Tyre Mold Cleaning System

Perfect mold cleaning without press reheating times

The TMCS enables in-press cleaning of tyre molds. A powerful maintenance free laser source provides for fast and spotless cleaning. Its control system allows to create cleaning recipes supported by a powerful editor within minutes – online or offline.

Other than handheld laser systems the machine is rated as Laser System Class 1 for perfect safety in industrial application. Manual cleaning with a handheld apparatus and highly noise polluting blast cleaning devices become obsolete and there is no need for the operator to climb into the press for mold cleaning.

Cleaning is performed with an automated 6-axis cleaning head that can clean even the most complex winter tyre tread patterns. High performance materials allow operation in ambient conditions of a hot curing press (150-180°C). Hence the reheating of the presses after the cleaning process is no longer necessary.

The use of the mobile TMCS reduces the press- and mold-downtimes significantly. At the same time the utilization of manpower is significantly reduced. The cleaning time varies depending on mold geometry, the degree of contamination, the quantity of curing cycles as well as on the mixtures and release agents that are used.

The TMCS is designed for PCR and light TBR molds with bead diameters of 13″ to 22“.
